Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP), one of the shining showcase ECOSWITCH Awardee was cited for environmental excellence in the Philippine Star Newspaper on November 23, 2011.
TMP is one of the companies for the Phase 1 of implementation of the Green Philippines Islands of Sustainability Project (GPIoS). TMP successfully implemented environmentally-friendly measures in its operations through the GPIoS project , some of which includes, Solatube installation and LED lighting. These actions are not only beneficial to the environment but also generated savings for the the company. The simple air-leak elimination for air-conditioned facilities, for example, has generated electricity savings of over 2 Million pesos.
