Green Philippines Islands of Sustainability Project Partners with PCEPSDI, the Secretariat for the National Eco-labeling Program- “GreenChoice” Philippines

GPIoS_greenchoiceGreen Philippines Islands of Sustainability (GPIoS) signed the partnership agreement with Philippine Center for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development, Inc. (PCEPSDI) which administers the National Eco-labeling program of the Philippines (Green Choice). The event was held in January 25, 2012, Berjaya Hotel, Makati City.

GPIoS and PCEPSDI share a common advocacy for caring to the environment through creating awareness and compliance of Filipino entrepreneurs on local and national policies involving sustainable production and consumption. The experts from Green Philippines Islands of Sustainability project will work together with the National Eco-labeling Program-Green Choice Philippines in the development of environmental standards for products. The two organizations, with their network of companies will present and promote the “GPIoS shining showcases” to attract more pro-environmental actions and to engage in the National Eco-labeling Program “Green Choice” Philippines.

Another milestone has been achieved towards the Sustainability of the GPIoS project on the policy level. This is a step in the collaborative work with private institutions, non-government organizations, with the push of government units towards a changed mindset, an ECOLOGICAL SWITCH (ECOSWITCH)!
